theroadtoslimcity asked: k so I have a question. Are we posting our reviews after we've read the entire book? or will there be discussions going as we read? The only reason this matters is because of the "spoiler" possibility?

Good question!

I think the fact that there will be a week between when the book is selected and when the floor is open to the book gives enough time for people to have their noses in it. So, hopefully, spoilers won’t be a major issue.

I think discussions while reading it will be okay.

And those truly concerned about spoilers— or fall a bit behind— can always just wait to view responses once they’ve finished the book.

For this month things are going to be a little different. Shorter— to say the least.

• Book submissions need to be in by May 12th. 
• Voting from the 13th-19th
• This month’s book will be posted on the 20th.
• Reviews may be submitted for that book from the 20th to June 15th.
• Book suggestions for June 15th-July 15th will need to be submitted by June 1st.

So… what do you all think of this format? Good? Not so good? Improvements? Changes? Please give me your feedback, so that we can make this enjoyable for everyone! 8-)

Also, we need a name! What shall we call our little book club?? Any and all suggestions are welcome!

Welcome to the book club! Pull up a chair, some tea, and join in.

Here’s how it works:

• All book suggestions are to be submitted by the last day of each month.


• Submissions will be posted on the blog for voting on the 1st of each month.


• Voting on the next book will be from the 1st to the 7th of each month.
                          -You are not allowed to vote for your own book.
                          -Any book suggested by more than one person will
                              automatically receive one vote.

• The book with the most votes will be the “Book of the Month”.


• That book will have the floor from the 15th of the month to the following 15th.
                                   - Ex.: The book selected on June 8th will have the
                                           floor from June 15th to July 15th.
                                   - You may submit a review early, but it will not be
                                           published until that time frame.
                                   - You may submit more than one review or a
                                           responses to others reviews.
                                            **Please play nice.
